We are excited to announce the launch of our new company blog.

Benchmark Education Company was started in 1998 as a means to help readers of all levels improve their skills in literacy. At BEC, we want every student to feel successful in the classroom—no one should ever feel left behind or unable to catch up with classmates.

With that idea in mind, we created a wide range of instructional materials to meet a variety of needs. Benchmark Education offers content-rich leveled books, differentiated instruction, intervention programs, and professional development, all with a focus on accommodating every type of learner. We also offer interactive e-books and e-posters with tons of capabilities for educators who’d like to join the digital movement and bring technology into the classroom.

Now, we’re starting a blog! And we’d like to use it to communicate with educators, administrators, and students. We’d love to hear from you!

While this blog will begin with a focus on Benchmark Universe, we will not discuss only BU and its capabilities, as we’d like to interact with a wider audience of professionals including those who don’t currently use our products or services. Benchmark Education Company’s focus is literacy and education first, so we have expanded our blog’s focus to articles on a variety of relevant subjects including lesson planning, technology in the classroom, supporting special needs students, the state of education in the U.S. today, and more.
