Dr. Terri Beeler
Dr. Terri Beeler is the founder and president of Connect and Reflect, a company offering online professional development focusing on writing instruction and the implementation of writing workshop. She also continues her work as an independent literacy consultant working with elementary teachers and children around the country to deepen their understanding of effective reading and writing strategies.
During her 35+ years in education she has served as a classroom teacher, administrator, curriculum director, university professor, researcher and staff developer. She is co-author of Phonemic Awareness in Young Children: A Classroom Curriculum and author of I Can Read, I Can Write: Creating A Print-Rich Environment, in addition to several publications for Benchmark Education Corporation. Her work focuses on the implementation of balanced literacy approaches through ongoing professional development and coaching. It remains important to her to stay in touch with teachers and their children so much of her work is conducted on-site in schools and classrooms.Her long-term professional goals have revolved around sharing her passion for reading and writing, leading teachers and children to become life-long learners.
